EXCEL COUNT FUNCTION

The Count is an Excel function to count the cell with number in a range or an array.

Syntax:

=count(value1,[value2],[value3],,)

Arguments or Parameters:

value1: First range to count the numeric value.
value2 [optional]: Second range to count the numeric value.

Note: Count function does not count the black cells.

Objective: Find the count of numeric cells in cell E4.

Step 1:

Type = sign in E4 cell
Type COUNT Function

Step 2:

Select range B2:B20
Type “)”
Press Enter

Conclusion: The count function has calculated the numeric cells in cell E4.
