EXCEL MAX FUNCTION

The Max is an Excel function to find the highest value in a range or an array.

Syntax:

=max(number1,[number2],[number3],,)

Arguments or Parameters:

number1: first range to find the max value.
number2 [optional]: second range to the find max value.

Objective: Find the Highest value of Quantity in cell D3.

Step 1:

Type = sign in cell D3.
Type MAX Function.

Step 2:

Select range B3:B9
Type “)”
Press Enter

Conclusion: The Max function has given the highest value in cell D3.
